I Told You Soβ¦ π
I said this in yesterdays email. And I quote:
βBut all that said, given the positive sentiment of the market today, if deliveries beat expectations we could see another strong rallyβ

Deliveries beat expectations & Tesla flew
And thatβs exactly what happened.
Expectations were 420,000 cars delivered. The actual number was 443,956 cars.
Cue the near 10% rally.
Now the delivery numbers were still lower than the same quarter last year but only marginally. And considering demands for EVs have dampened as a whole, weβll chalk that up as a win.

That pushes my holding in Tesla up to $80 which is just under 2% of the portfolio. Also brings me up to 20% profit on the position & makes them my 10th largest holding.
Like Iβve been saying, I still think weβve got plenty of room to grow yet. You could cull your positions a little on the back of this rally but if Iβve learnt anything from Tesla over the years, itβs this.
It always has more steam than you think it does.
Diamond hands & looking for to the robotaxi events for August.

ABBV is our biggest loser today, down just over 2.5%

ABBV letting the side down today
Thereβs nothing sinister in the news causing it. It looks like a natural cooling off after a near 12% rally since the start of June.
ABBV is a solid buy even though theyβve had a few red days in a row now. I always think if you feel good about a stock while itβs going up, you should feel extra good when itβs going down.
Youβre getting a discount on something you like. Maybe even love.
Future growth looks promising. Theyβve got a solid pipeline of products, particularly in immunology and oncology. Those are super high demand areas of medicine.
The acquisition of Allergan boosts their portfolio with Botox and other aesthetic products, mixing up the revenue streams.
ABBV also have a super healthy dividend yield sitting at 3.69% for the income investors among us.

Only a small holding for now but Iβll be looking to grow this over time
My current holdings in ABBV are very small - only 0.75% of my account. But if the price keeps looking for a lower support, Iβll likely be looking to double up on this position size.
Thatβs all! See you same time tomorrow week π
